About Madison Harrison

Madison Harrison grew up in Mexico, Finland, China, and Canada as the daughter of U.S. diplomats before attending Elon University in 2016. She studied Communications Design for two years before transferring to North Carolina State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication.

Her artistic background began through graphic design studies at Elon University and continued at NC State’s College of Design, where she studied Design Studies. She began painting seriously in 2023 and started exhibiting her work in galleries throughout Raleigh in 2025, where she currently resides.

While working full-time as a marketing data analyst, Madison continues to expand her painting practice. She is currently developing two series centered on emotional vulnerability, perception, and the tension between beauty and discomfort. Her work examines emotional landscapes people often conceal beneath the surface, using layered color, gradients, and luminous forms to capture moments of intensity that feel both deeply personal and universally recognizable.
